At first glance, it looks like a normal card game, but in this clever twist on trick-taking, you’re not trying to win the most… you’re trying to take the least. The goal in Hearts is to avoid collecting penalty cards: every Heart is worth one point, and the Queen of Spades is a whopping thirteen. Each round, players pass three cards to an opponent before play begins, then take turns laying down a single card each turn. You must follow the suit that was led if you can, and whoever plays the highest card in that suit wins the trick, and all the cards in it. The sneaky twist? You want to avoid taking those tricks if they contain points. If you accidentally scoop up a Heart or that devious Queen, those points go straight into your score pile. When one player hits 100 points, the game ends, and the player with the lowest score wins. With a polished interface, funny little avatars, and a smart tutorial that guides you through the basics, this version is a great intro for newbies and a slick favorite for seasoned card sharks. And here's a neat nugget: in some Hearts games, a player can flip the whole table by “shooting the moon”, intentionally collecting *all* the penalty cards, which resets everyone else’s scores instead of your own. Bold, chaotic, and weirdly satisfying.
